Welcome to the semi-official website of A. G. Baker's upcoming novel, Stray: The Lost One.
Hi, and thanks so much for visiting! This is my humble corner of the internet, created to share my works of literature as well as art. Well, let's get acquainted with a short autobiography, just to tell a little bit about myself.
I am A. G. Baker, artist since I could hold a writing utensil, and author since I started studying proper English. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest of America, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. My writing interest first sparked in second grade, when we were to use our imaginations and create a short story. Needless to say, I don't write about unicorns like I did when I was seven, but I am rather partial to adventures, and especially tragedies (I might be a bit iffy when it comes to romance: I'm picky). My favorite author would roughly come down to Patrick Ness (Chaos Walking was genius,) and I spend probably too much time watching movies, such as Pirates of the Carribean and Lord of the Rings.
I have wanted to write a book since the fourth grade, and have tried and failed over the years following. I have now been poring over this novel for a year straight, and have no intentions to stop until finished. My birthday is October 30th, and my favorite T.V. shows are House and Fullmetal Alchemist (as Vic Mignogna is an amazing voice actor).
Anyway, now that you know a bit about the owner of this website, it's time to describe what I'm up to; my main characters will all recieve thorough description for the public, and a summary is being worded in my head as I type this. Here it is;
Shadowgrail Academy. Large, beautiful, and spacious from the outsider's view, and home to the Odessan nobles known as the Hel family, passing the school from generation to generation since it was built. Odess had since been tried with violence between this bloodline and those of The Beauvallet House, a most esteemed family for their dominance in Odess City, peeling away its former popularity and leaving just a shell of a manor for headmaster Aleksandrovitch Hel and his nephew and ward, Dante Hel to use as living quarters. Everything is kept dormant until a young Miss Ivy Brookwood is forced to leave her war-ridden province of Treial to seek shelter. Her world is turned upside-down with the peculiar ways of Mr. Hel and his relation, but even more so when a favorite cousin of Aleks' shows up. His name is Elias Vaughn, and he is most peculiar of all. His sadistic ways and secret-keeping only breeds curiosity of others, and they're bound to find something.
And, in time, they do.
Elias Vaughn is a man of dangerous merit, one that is better left alone than bothered.
What was his role in the downfall of the Academy, the bloodshed of the city?
What is his purpose?
So, if you'd like to find out, please stay tuned for any updates/teasers/changes/ect.
Thanks for visiting, and don't be scared to ask questions!
